It's been a difficult road so far.

I bought a 72 Challenger in December of 2004 to rebuild and modify it into a G Machine / Pro-Touring toy. As of April 2007 I've spent a total of about a month and a half working on it. Most people would probably assume that either I'm really not very interested in the project or I'm just a lazy person. That couldn't be farther from the truth. I got the car over the internet sight unseen while I was stationed in Puerto Rico with the US Navy. The car was located in New York and I had the seller ship it (and the parts car) about two hours South to a friends body shop in PA. For the next year I was buying as many parts for it as I could and having them shipped to where the car was being kept. When I had most of what I felt I needed to begin the build, I started taking trips over there to work on it whenever I could spare the time and money to do so. Usually these tirps amounted to about four solid, days of LONG hours working on the car at a time. I've been keeping a running log of my progress over at the Moparnuts.com website. The guys there have been a great help with tech advise and moral support to keep me motivated when things didn't go as I would have liked. It's come from it's crusty beginnings as an immobile rust bucket to a running, driving solid foundation to start the performance modifications on.

So anyway, the biggest change lately is that I've been transferred to Texas. I'm planning a road trip this summer to go get the Challenger and tow it back here. THEN if I don't make a lot more progress with it you all can call me a slacker. :p
